ABOUT PRO-ZA BALKAN

*For sixth time Skopje will host the only festival for the elite Balkan prose “PRO-ZA Balkan”

*Six eminent authors of Balkans prose shall personally introduce themselves before our cultural audience.

*This is an extraordinary possibility for the audience to meet in person the great masters of the contemporary prose from the Balkan.

*Skopje fellowship program will run for the fifth time. Publishers from Germany, USA and Turkey will personally communicate with the Macedonian authors and publishers. Through “PRO-ZA Balkan” for the contemporary literature from Balkan the door to the world will be widely open.

*Top topic of the round table will be the most difficult problem: visibility of the Balkan literature classics in the 21st century. With this theme, the festival joins the celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

*The festival “PRO-ZA Balkan” will be held in a place that corresponds with its importance: Daut Pashin Amam, as well in the EU info center and the bookstore of the Publishing house Ikona.
